Well another Race Day has come and gone and it seems that everyone had a fabulous day. The weather was just beautiful and the guests all looked amazing in there racing attire. Champagne and Canapés flowed upon arrival into the Champagne Garden with a sumptuous gourmet buffet to follow latter in the day.
The event this year attracted a massive 195 guests to the Champagne Garden at Corbould Park Race Course giving us the opportunity to make this event an even bigger success in 2009.
We would like to thank everyone who attended the 2008 Zoe’s Place Charity Race Day so much for your involvement and support to help make the day a success. |

On 20th April 2008 we had acclaimed tenor Peter Brocklehurst performed at Brett’s Wharf in an intimate candlelit evening. Celebrity chef Alastair McLeod also joined in the festivities, producing a sumptuous dinner for our guests.
This evening was a resounding success with Peter receiving a standing ovation following a rendition of Andrea Bocelli’s, Amore
Alastair McLeod was generous enough to donate a dinner, hosted by himself at Brett’s Wharf for 8 people as an action item. Incredibly this managed to raise $6,000 for Zoe’s Place. |

Saturday 15th March saw approximately 60 motorcycle rider from around Brisbane come together for a ride up to Mt Glorious in support of Zoe’s Place Children’s Hospice
Radio Station 96five along with The Tribe of Judah did an amazing job is promoting and organising this ride which commenced at The Tribe of Judah headquarters in Kingston and finished back at Zoe’s Place Mt Ommaney.
Upon arrival back at Zoe’s Place, the entertainment commenced with a performance from the all-star cast of Disney’s High School Musical from the Harvest Rain Theatre Company, two fantastic signers Jordan Pollard and Kirby Lunn, face painting and a jumping castle for the kids along with a sausage sizzle, hospice tours and Liam Renton and the Street Machines from Radio Station 96five.
When the entertainment came to a close we heard from our wonderful Dad, Warren Goodlet who was part of the leading force behind the motorcycle safari. Warren and Elizabeth sadly lost their beautiful twins with us here at Zoe’s Place in 2008.
The whole day raised in excess of $4000 for Zoe’s Place which is an incredible achievement.
Thank you so much to all who participated in the ride, those who donated their time and/or equipment for the day and especially to Radio Station 96five and The Tribe of Judah for all the work you did to make this event happen. We are truly grateful. |

The Mill Hotel Trivia for Charity Evening |
|
| |
|
|
 |
On Tuesday 4th March 2008, 9 teams and approximately 40 people took up the trivia challenge in order to raise funds for Zoe’s Place. Clytie and the fantastic team at The Mill took charge of the evening a ran a tough, but really fun night out.
The Mill team had gathered some great raffle prizes including a State of Origin XXXX shaped esky, a sporting pack and a digital camera with all the proceeds from ticket sales coming to Zoe’s Place. There was even ‘The Zoe’s’ cocktail available on the night which I must say was very tasty.
In total the Mill raised $517 for us which is just wonderful.
A very big thank you to all at the Mill for running such a great night in aid of us. Thank also to all the participants…you were tough competitors
The Mill run trivia nights every Tuesday from 7pm. It is a great night out where you can walk away having learnt a thing or two. |
